This policy explains what happens to personal information in connection with the website at neatmotif.online. The site is published by KASSANDRA, spol. s r.o., Pod Stráněmi 818, 760 01 Zlín, Czech Republic, company registration 48911097, contactable at info@neatmotif.online. Where this policy says "we", it means that company.

Personal information in connection with this site is handled in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, which the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner publishes at oaic.gov.au/privacy/australian-privacy-principles. The sections below follow those thirteen principles in order, so that you can see what each one means here rather than in the abstract.

This policy covers neatmotif.online and nothing else. The affiliate link at https://price-low.eu/a/73PqKhW7n2SR1YK, the game vendor's own site and every other site linked from the course are operated by other people under their own policies, and we have no control over them.

APP 1 — Open and transparent management of personal information

This page is the whole of our policy; there is no second, internal version. It is written to be read by a member of the public rather than by a lawyer, it is linked from the footer of every page on the site, and it names the company, its address, its registration number and a working email address so that you know who is answerable. Complaints about our handling of personal information are dealt with under the Complaints section below, and we will tell you in plain terms what we hold and why if you ask.

APP 2 — Anonymity and pseudonymity

You can read every page of this course, including all five checklists, without telling us who you are. There is no account, no sign-up and no form anywhere on the site. If you email us, you may use a pseudonymous address and we will reply to it; the one exception is a request for access to or correction of personal information, where we need enough information to be sure we are dealing with the right person before we act.

APP 3 — Collection of solicited personal information

Two categories of information exist in connection with this site, and there is no third.

(a) Server access logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard access logs for the site. A log entry contains the IP address of the device making the request, the date and time, the URL requested, the referring page if your browser sends one, and the user-agent string your browser identifies itself with.

(b) Email correspondence. If you write to info@neatmotif.online, we receive your email address, any name you choose to give, the content of your message and any attachment you send.

(c) Nothing else. There are no forms, no accounts, no newsletter, no progress tracking and no quiz. We set no cookies and use no web storage. There are no analytics, no advertising tags, no profiling and no cross-site tracking. The site loads no web fonts, no scripts and no images from any other server: every page on neatmotif.online is served complete from this domain, so visiting it causes no request to any third party at all. The checklists are printed lists of text and deliberately do not remember which boxes you have ticked, because remembering would mean storing something about you.

APP 4 — Dealing with unsolicited personal information

Occasionally an email arrives containing personal information we did not ask for and do not need in order to reply — details about a third person, an attachment unrelated to the question, information about a game account. Where it is lawful and reasonable to do so, we delete that information rather than keeping it. Where it is not, it is held on the same terms as the rest of the correspondence and treated under this policy.

APP 5 — Notification of the collection of personal information

This page is that notification, which is why it is linked from every footer. Access logs are created by the technical fact of requesting a page, and you are told here that they exist, what they contain, who keeps them and for how long. Email correspondence is collected only because you chose to write to us, and the Contact page says what we do with it before you send anything.

APP 6 — Use or disclosure of personal information

Access logs are used for keeping the site available and secure, for preventing and investigating abuse, and for diagnosing faults. Email correspondence is used for reading and answering your message, and for keeping a record of what was said.

We use neither category for anything else. Personal information connected with this site is never sold, rented, traded or shared for anyone's marketing, including our own. We disclose it to other people only in two situations: to the service providers named under APP 8, who hold it in order to provide the hosting and email services themselves, and to a court, regulator or law enforcement body where the law requires or authorises it.

APP 7 — Direct marketing

We do not carry out direct marketing of any kind through this site. There is no mailing list, no newsletter, no promotional email and no reminder to finish the course. If you email us, you will receive a reply to that email and nothing afterwards. Because no marketing takes place, there is nothing to opt out of.

APP 8 — Cross-border disclosure of personal information

Two service providers hold information in connection with this site: our hosting provider, which keeps the access logs described under APP 3, and our email service provider, which carries and stores correspondence sent to our address. We do not name them in this policy.

Both may store or process data outside Australia, including in countries whose privacy laws differ from Australian law. We do not disclose personal information to any other overseas recipient, and we do not transfer it overseas for any purpose of our own.

APP 9 — Adoption, use or disclosure of government related identifiers

This principle has no application here. We do not adopt, use or disclose any government related identifier — no tax file number, Medicare number, driver licence number or similar — because we never ask for one and have no reason to hold one.

APP 10 — Quality of personal information

The only personal information we hold that could be inaccurate is what someone has written to us in an email. If something in our correspondence about you is wrong, out of date or incomplete, tell us and we will correct it. Access logs are generated automatically by the web server and are not edited.

APP 11 — Security of personal information

The site is served over HTTPS. There is no database behind it and no stored form submissions, because there are no forms — which removes the largest category of risk a small site usually carries. The hosting account and the mailbox are accessible only to people working for KASSANDRA, spol. s r.o., using individual credentials.

We hold no certification and claim compliance with no standard beyond what is written on this page.

APP 12 — Access to personal information

You may ask what personal information we hold about you and ask for a copy of it. Write to info@neatmotif.online with the words Privacy request in the subject line. There is no charge for making a request. We reply within 30 days. In practice, for most readers the answer is that we hold nothing other than, possibly, an access log entry that has already expired. If we have to refuse a request — for example because we cannot verify who you are, or because the law allows a refusal — we will say so in writing and explain why.

APP 13 — Correction of personal information

You may ask us to correct personal information we hold about you, by the same route and with the same subject line. The same 30-day period applies, and the same explanation follows if we decline.

Affiliate links and what happens when you follow one

Some links in Steps 3 and 4 of the course are paid affiliate links. Following one takes you off neatmotif.online to a site we do not operate. From that moment this policy no longer applies.

The game vendor and the affiliate network that operates the link may set cookies or use similar technology on their own sites to record that the visit came from us, so that a commission can be attributed. That happens under their policies, not ours, and we have no control over it. We receive commission reports from the network. Those reports are used only to reconcile what we are owed, and we neither seek nor want information in them that would identify an individual reader.

Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled personal information, write to info@neatmotif.online and describe the circumstances. We will investigate and answer within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, or we do not answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, which explains the process at oaic.gov.au/privacy/privacy-complaints.

Data breaches

If we become aware of unauthorised access to, or disclosure or loss of, personal information held in connection with this site, we assess it promptly. Where serious harm to an affected person is likely, we notify the people affected and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme, and we take steps to contain the breach and stop it recurring.

Children

This course discusses households with young players, but the site is not directed at people under 16 and we collect nothing intended to identify them. No part of the site asks for an age, a school, a location or a name. Where a young person is the one playing, the course advises that an adult hold the recovery email address — advice about a game publisher's account, not about anything we hold.

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom

KASSANDRA, spol. s r.o. is established in the Czech Republic, so the General Data Protection Regulation also applies to our handling of personal information.

Our legal basis for keeping server access logs is our legitimate interest in operating the site securely and diagnosing faults. Our legal basis for handling email correspondence is our legitimate interest in answering the enquiry you have chosen to send. We rely on consent as a basis for nothing, because there is nothing on this site to consent to: no cookies, no storage, no tracking and no marketing.

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection in respect of information we hold about you. Requests go to info@neatmotif.online.

You may also complain to the Czech supervisory authority, the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), at uoou.gov.cz, or to the authority in your own country of residence.

Changes to this policy

When this policy is revised, the effective date at the top is updated. Where a change materially affects how personal information is handled, a note describing it appears at the top of this page for 30 days so that returning readers can see what changed without comparing versions.
